Should I e-mail this guy?

Hi, well, last week I've finally talked to the guy I have been admiring for the past few months but stupidly I forgot to grab his information because I was in a hurry. I was able to find his e-mail through the university website. I was wondering would doing this seem too desperate? Would it seem a bit too stalker-ish? Or the next time I see him I should get his information then?
