Camera broken on droid 2?

i have the droid 2 global and have had it for about 2 months... basically the camera and camcorder "apps" that came preinstalled do the clicking sound like the camera viewer is about to open but never does and reverts back to the homescreen? i tried downloading a camera app but they dont work either... any help? thanksss(:
