Problem with straightening my hair?

Do you blow-dry your hair before straightening? I find it way easier when I blow dry my hair straight with a round brush before straightening. Also, apply a straightening styling product like John Freida 3-day Straight before drying. When you are straightening, don't just pull straight down, sort of curve it, if you know what I mean? And don't forget to blow dry/straighten the underside of your hair; clip up the top side when doing both. Finish it with a bit of hairspray, and don't forget heat protectant. Good luck. :)
