How do I get him to come back/like me again?

Okay. Two years ago the love of my life had to switch schools to play ball there. I fell in love with him and we were just friends. He liked me alot, when we were alone he would try to kiss me and complain when i didn't let him, he would always call me beautiful and play with my hair, he tried to fight a guy who liked me and wouldn't leave me alone. The year without him was so horrible he told some people he was coming back the next year (but he didn't because this year we just got done with was the 'next year') but when he switched 2years ago he told me he was coming back 2 years later. Which would be the year following this summer. But I'm not for sure if he is. how can I get him to notice something I post on Facebook and like/comment it or just notice me somehow and is there anyway I can find out for sure if he's switching back this year without coming on as a stalker?
